Hearty Chicken Noodle Soup

It's Cold Season...

It's cold season and that means making plenty of chicken noodle soup.  In my household this is a wonderful recipe to help you get over your cold faster.  Aside from being a conform food you will benefit from the herbs used to make this dish.

Here are some of the health benefits you will have with this soup.  

Turmeric: Memory enhancing, natural anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, carcinogen fighter and antidepressant.

Thyme:  Helps to reduce blood pressure, natural cough remedy, immune booster, anti-fungal and aromatic mood booster.

Sage: Antimicrobial, antioxidant, reduces symptoms of menopause, helps to reduce blood sugar, supports brain function and helps lower cholesterol.

Oregano: Antibacterial, antioxidant, helps reduce viral infections and anti-inflammatory.

Cumin: Promotes healthy, improves bad cholesterol, helps to improve diabetes and helps with weight loss. 

So you see this soup is packed with so many benefits.  Now let's get to cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Chicken Breast Halves
  • 1/2 Large Onion
  • 2-3 Carrots
  • 1 Summer Squash
  • 3 Celery Sticks
  • 3 Golden Potatoes
  • 3 Vine Tomatoes
  • 3 Cloves Of Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/2 Pack of Egg Noodles
  • 1 Box Chicken Stock
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Knorr Bouillon
  • 1 Tsp. Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp. Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 Tsp. Dried Thyme
  • 1/2 Tsp. Dried Sage
  • 1/4 Tsp. Cumin Powder
  • Salt & Pepper To Taste
